West End Recreation Center Welcoming Entryway & Wayfinding

In DownCity Design's Summer 2021 Creative Change Studio students reimagined the entryway for the West End Recreation Center. Taking inspiration from themes of pride, diversity and fun, students design a series of colorful wall and floor decals. The designs feature the Center’s tiger mascot in different environments---playing sports, hanging out by a waterfall, even floating through space! The design also includes a hand-painted sidewalk mural that features areas for the Rec Center students to write their names and take ownership of the space.
