Carl Lauro Outdoor Classroom

In 2015, DCD worked with a group of 3rd-5th graders from Carl Lauro Elementary to design a new outdoor classroom fro their schoolyard, to help alleviate strain on the school building, and create opportunities for outdoor education. The final product includes a flexible series of decks that can operate as an outdoor classroom, lunch seating area, climbing structure, and performance stage. In 2016, over 100 volunteers build this classroom that the students envisioned.
