12 Providence teens in our Summer 2017 Design/Build Studio collaborated to create this shed for the Youth Farmers at Southside Community Land Trust’s Somerset-Hayward Farm. The Youth Farm provides teens with an opportunity to learn about food security and urban agriculture and the shed will give the young farmers a place to store their tools, gather, and rest during breaks. Throughout the process, students modeled different iterations of their ideas and received feedback from community partners. Our young designers loved designing for their peers!
