In Spring 2021, our DownCity Designers students designed and built this seating area for Youth in Action, a local youth leadership and advocacy organization. This project was truly designed by youth for youth. Due to the COVID crisis, our DownCity Designers designed this project in virtual programs, then met outdoors in small teams to complete fabrication. From the first client meeting to the final unveiling, the students spent 5 short months on this project—a testament to effective remote collaboration!
